Exploring

After church, we decided to rent a car and go exploring. I originally thought I wanted to live in the center of the city but after seeing it, I was less impressed. First we drove out to the research center in Solaize where Paul will be working. We then went to the nearest town named Charley. I could live in Charley. It was a really beautiful French country town. I could live in a stereotypical French country house with a red tile roof and blue shutters. I could grow herbs. I could do that but Paul thinks I would get bored pretty quickly. My concern is that the kids would come visit and would redefine boredom.

So then we went back into the city and looked at the suburbs west of Lyon. I could live in the suburbs too. It was really pretty. The concern there was that Paul would have a long commute. We haven’t ruled it out completely. We need to do some more research.

Then it was to the 6^éme arrondisement where Paul wants to live. I liked it too. I could live there. It soon became pretty clear that I don’t really care where we live. We meet with the realtor tomorrow. Stay tuned.
