Success with keys

After showing all identification I could find, I was told that I needed permission from the landlord to duplicate the apartment key. I just stood there and said nothing. They asked if I knew who the landlord was. I said no. They made a few phone calls, explained my situation, and then said they could order me some keys. Not sure what was said in the phone conversation.

So I walked away with 1 mailbox key and 3 door keys. On order are the 3 building keys. All 7 keys cost me 220 euros! Do the math if you want to, it's pretty scary when you convert it to dollars.

Thats about $38 per key.
