evening excursion

My list of necessities is starting to grow. Last night we walked over to the big mall near our apartment to begin the acquision of said necessities. On the top of the list was a 2nd telephone. We have a french line and our old line via Vonage (a story on that comes later). We have been moving our one and only phone from the french line during the day to our old home line during the night. The phone that has been moving does not require electricity; it is a simple old style phone. So we went shopping for a new phone and bought one. Looking for a speakerphone was a challenge...... actually, it's called a "hands free" phone.... 'mains-libre'. And we also wanted a cordless phone.... that was easy.... we just looked at the picture on the box!

Also on the list was a shopping basket, the kind with wheels. Got that. We checked out the vaccum cleaners and didn't quite figure that one out. There were no uprights and the ones that were displayed were very expensive (at the walmart-type store) and there were no hoses displayed with the canister type cleaners..... so do you buy those separately? The mall closes really early and we were running out of time so the vaccum cleaner is back on the list for another day.

The sun goes down really late here and I took the above picture as we were walking home. Nothing special about anything in the picture, just a common sight.
